Great Lakes authentic beach glass jewelry
~ Living on Lake Michigan for several years now and enjoying the amazing beaches gave me the inspiration to start making unique and lovely jewelry. I started with making earrings then as I learned more and honed my craft I went about making a larger array of jewelry using all the things that make me love the beach so much. I know you will find just the right piece that will be admired for a long time to come! Enjoy ~
My Story
~ Seachakravibe was created in February 2019 after discovering local beach glass near my home in Northwest lower Michigan. On a chilly December morning my good friend invited me to comb the beach telling me about beach glass and how it is formed from discarded glass of all sorts which after many years in the churning waves and sand abrasion becomes these lovely frosty gems (which I had to idea about until this day) and took me to a great place to find it. And sure enough we did find a few little glass gems that day along with a few cool rocks and so from there started this new venture. I was so excited to get home and do some research about how to make jewelry out of them! I made beach glass earrings for several weeks then went on to incorporating argentium silver, copper, leather, shells, pearls and anything related to the beach into my designs. For the past year or so I've made several other pieces of jewelry mainly necklaces, bracelets and chokers. I usually use beach glass as the main focal point of an item or sometimes as accents. I have a love for beachy boho type of jewelry and like to include a shiny or sparkly element too. I take much pride in my craft and pay close attention to detail to make each piece special and beautiful in a unique way. I can make custom pieces as well.
